 Pike Tripel Kriek
Monks Uncle Tripel that was fermented with Brettanomyces yeast, along with the addition of 30 lbs of local organic Bing cherries per cask that were added at the peak of Washington State cherry season in June 2009. Since then, the cuveé has been aging in oak merlot wine casks from Mark Ryan winery. XXX Kriek will be available on draft at the pub and at Brouwers Sour Beer Festival during Seattle Beer Week 2010. Come early, there's only one cask, when it's gone it's gone!
Pike's 20th Anniversary marks the official release of the 2009 Pike Entire. Entire is a blend of Pike XXXXX Extra Stout and a Pike imperial stout (high gravity) aged in Heaven Hill Bourbon barrels for 7 months. Last year's release sold out in 4 days! Come taste it!
Available for purchase at the Pike Pub beginning October 13, 2009.

USBTC GRAND CHAMPION
Golden Ale/Kolsch
The United States Beer Tasting ChampionshipTM (USBTC) recently completed the Summer Event of its 15th annual competition. A total of 379 beers from 137 breweries were examined across 14 different beer categories. Within each category, the USBTC determined both a Grand Champion and the best entry from each of six U.S. regions: 1) Northeast, 2) Mid-Atlantic/Southeast, 3) Midwest, 4) Rockies/Southwest, 5) California, and 6) Northwest/Pacific.
Naughty Nellie was judged the Grand Champion in the Golden Ale/Kolsch category out of a total of 15 entires. |
