PIKE Bitter lake ipa
Pike bitter lake ipa: india pale ale
Featuring whole leaf Centennial and dry-hopped with Ekuanot and Cascade, Pike Bitter Lake IPA offers notes of mandarin, lime, dark berry, and pine with a lingering finish. A light malt base allows the hops to shine.
Pike Bitter Lake IPA is named for the Bitter Lake neighborhood in North Seattle. The name also references the beer’s lingering pine finish, reminiscent of the forest that once stood where Bitter Lake is now. It is a Bronze medal winner of the Washington Beer Awards.
Ekuanot is an aroma and flavor hop prized for its citrus, dark berry, and pine notes.
Seattle’s Bitter Lake was once the home of an amusement park called Playland, best known for it’s roller coaster, the Dipper. Although location of the Dipper is now home to the Bitter Lake Community Center, you can still pair Pike Bitter Lake IPA with a corn dog from Tankard & Tun’s Walk-Up Window!
