Pike Kilt Lifter

wee bit of sweet & peat

Layers of sweet malt, reminiscent of caramel and toffee, are followed by peat-smoked flavors making this versatile beer the best-selling in Pike Brewing’s history. MORE ABOUT pike kilt lifter

At the turn of the 20th century Edinburgh, Scotland was famous for a dozen breweries producing strong and malty ale. To this day a ‘Scotch’ is a style of beer, not a whiskey. Without native hops, Scottish brewers relied on Kent in England for their supply, making Scotch Ale more malty than hoppy. Pike Kilt Lifter is brewed in homage of these early Scottish beers.
