Pike place ale: pale ale

A balanced farm-to-tap beer brewed with Skagit Valley Alba malt and citrus-forward Yakima Valley hops.  Updated and reintroduced in 2016, Pike Place Ale was the first beer brewed by Pike back in 1989. Pike Place Ale supports local farmers and the Pike Place Market Foundation.

  • When Pike Place Ale was first brewed in 1989, it utilized the best ingredients available including Maris Otter malt imported from England. Since then, much has developed on the agricultural side of American craft beer, so in 2016, we introduced locally-grown Alba malt from nearby Skagit Valley to the brew.

  • Alba is a delicious, flavorful base malt: We get it from Washington’s Skagit Valley Malting.

  • Pike Place Ale is a cause beer which helps support the Pike Place Market Foundation. It is a two-time Gold medal winner in the United States Beer Tasting Championship, a Gold medal winner at the California Beer Festival, and Silver medal winner in the North American Beer Tasting Championship.
