MORE ABOUT pike wood-aged kilt lifter

At the turn of the 20th century Edinburgh, Scotland was famous for a dozen breweries producing strong and malty ale. To this day a ‘Scotch’ is a style of beer, not a whiskey. Without native hops, Scottish brewers relied on Kent in England for their supply, making Scotch Ale more malty than hoppy. Pike Kilt Lifter is brewed in homage of these early Scottish beers. After aging our base scotch ale in whiskey barrels from Dry Fly Distilling, Pike Wood-Aged Kilt Lifter starts sweet and spicy, and finishes smoothly with a hint of smoke.
